KATE MALCZEWSKI

...is an Ohio-born, London-based freelance writer and editor.

 

Her work has been widely featured in top publications for the drinks and hospitality industries. In 2023, she was awarded the IWSC's Emerging Talent in Spirits Communication trophy.

 

Kate was previously the editor of BarChick and digital editor of The Spirits Business. She began her career in Food & Wine's cookbook department.

With a professional background in content marketing, Kate also selectively takes on clients for copywriting projects.

​

She holds a Level 3 Award in Spirits and a Level 2 Award in Wine from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, and has judged cocktail and spirits competitions across the UK (it's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it).

​

What else? She graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in English and theatre. She's a former food blogger. She adapted a Gertrude Stein novel into a one-woman show. She likes cats very much.
